THE “MURETA SINCE 1969” BRAND CAME TO LIFE IN 2020 WHEN I FOUND A RECIPE FOR THE POPULAR MORETTA DRINK HANDWRITTEN BY MY GRANDFATHER BRUNO IN 1969 AND TOGETHER WITH FILIPPO WE DECIDED TO PROPOSE OUR PREMIUM VERSION TO ALLOW THE ANCIENT
RECIPE TO CROSS THE BORDERS OF OUR SMALL TERRITORY.
OUR PROPOSAL SUGGESTS A TASTING OF THE DISTILLATE AFTER A MEAL ENCOURAGED BY THE USE OF PREMIUM COMPONENTS COMPARED TO THE BASIC ONES OF THE POPULAR DRINK USED EXCLUSIVELY AS A COFFEE CORRECTION.
FROM THE END OF THE WAR UNTIL ABOUT THE MID-1980S, MY GRANDFATHER BRUNO'S ESPOSTO GROCERY STORE IN FANO SPECIALIZED IN THE DISTILLATION OF ANISE AND IN THE CORRECTION OF FARMERS' WINES. BRUNO HAD ALSO CREATED HIS OWN RECIPE FOR MORETTA WHICH FOR MANY YEARS REMAINED UNKNOWN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, CONSUMED MOSTLY IN SMALL GROUPS OF LOCAL FRIENDS.
FILIPPO AND I HAVE THOUGHT TO ENRICHED IT WITH EXCELLENT RAW MATERIALS AND MAKE IT KNOWN TO THE WORLD THROUGH A REVOLUTIONARY, SOLITARY USE, DETACHED FROM COFFEE.
